Treasury Inspector – Head of Division, National Coordination of Inclusive Finance, Ministry of the Economy and Finance, Madagascar

Nivoarizay Razafindrakoto has 11 years of professional experiences in financial inclusion. Nivo is currently the head of division at the National Coordination of Inclusive Finance, within the Treasury Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. She is a Treasury Inspector and holds her master’s degree in Economics from the University of Antananarivo. She also has strong expertise in leadership, project management and monitoring of financial inclusion projects and programs. She has participated in various international training programs related to financial inclusion, such as the Boulder Microfinance training at ITC-ILO in Turin Italy, Women financial Inclusion within Leadership and Diversity Program for Regulators at Saïd Business School of Oxford University and Inclusive Growth organized by International Monetary Fund at Africa Training Institute in Mauritius. She is involved in promoting financial inclusion in Madagascar with a special focus on savings groups and digital financial services. She is a primary member of Digital Financial Services Working Groups of Alliance for Financial Inclusion. She is also the Chief of Project of Promotion of Branchless Banking in Madagascar, funded by French Development Agency. She has taken part in drafting the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of Madagascar and monitoring its implementation. She advocated for savings groups which play a huge role to ease access of vulnerable people in rural and remote areas to basic financial services and supported the creation of the network of savings group promoters in Madagascar.
