Haneen Almuhisen is the Senior Financial Inclusion Specialist at the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ), where she leads national efforts to enhance financial inclusion and drive sustainable economic growth. With nearly a decade of experience, she co-founded CBJ’s Financial Inclusion Division and spearheaded Jordan’s National Financial Inclusion Strategies for 2018–2020 and 2023–2028, resulting in increased financial access and a narrowed gender gap.
Haneen is recognized for designing and implementing evidence-based policies that expand financial access for underserved populations, including women, refugees, and low-income groups. Among her notable achievements are the introduction of Basic Bank Account regulations and the development of robust, data-driven frameworks to monitor financial inclusion progress. She has led major initiatives like the digitization of cash transfers under the Mobile Money for Resilience program and collaborated with international organizations to strengthen digital financial inclusion and consumer protection.
As a Certified Expert in Financial Inclusion Policy, Project Management Professional (PMP), and Innovation Professional, Haneen combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive sustainable, data-driven policy reforms in Jordan’s financial landscape. Her leadership extends to promoting green finance, digital innovation, and financial literacy for individuals and MSMEs, ensuring equitable access to financial services while fostering economic resilience and sustainability.
