Senior Referent, Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia

Dashnyam (Dasha) Dashzeveg is an economic mathematician and financial specialist with over 15 years of experience. She is a senior referent at the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia, focusing on financial regulation, risk assessment, and policy development. Dashnyam holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in economical mathematics and public policy from universities in Mongolia and South Korea.

Dashnyam has extensive teaching experience in economics, mentoring students and advancing innovative research methodologies. Her primary focus areas include enhancing financial inclusion, developing effective risk management frameworks, and addressing macroeconomic challenges in emerging markets.

From 2019 to 2022, Dashnyam was the focal point for the “TA 9654-MON Mongolia: Expanding the Capacity of the Nonbank finance sector to support financial inclusion” project, supported by the Asian Development Bank. She organized training sessions and capacity-building programs for leaders of microfinance institutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting sustainable financial growth. Her contributions strengthened governance, risk management, and resilience in Mongolia’s nonbank finance sector.

As a financial literacy trainer, Dashnyam promotes financial knowledge, discipline, and accountability. She collaborates with policymakers and organizations to empower individuals and support sustainable economic development.
In addition, Dashnyam is a member of the Mongolian Economic Association and The association of Mongolian Women Engineers, Technologists, Scientists and Mathematicians, contributing to science. And she is a member of the Mongolian Women’s Union and contributes to making a positive impact on society on a voluntary basis.
