Md. Rabiul Islam serves as an Assistant Director at the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA), Bangladesh, where he plays a pivotal role in crafting policies to drive financial inclusion. With over three years of experience, he specializes in regulatory research, data analysis, and sectoral development, focusing on addressing systemic challenges faced by marginalized communities. His work includes identifying gaps in microfinance operations, developing sustainable financial literacy strategies, and enhancing access to formal credit for Cottage, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (CMSMEs).

Md. Rabiul Islam’s journey in financial inclusion began at a private commercial bank, where he gained firsthand insights into the struggles of underserved populations in accessing formal finance. This experience ignited his passion for bridging the gap between traditional banking systems and excluded communities.

Academically, he holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Dhaka, equipping him with strong analytical and communication skills. Further solidifying his expertise, he completed a certificate course on financial development and financial inclusion from the IMF Institute, alongside rigorous training in digital transformation and data analytics.
