I am currently a Deputy General Manager at the National Pension Commission, Abuja. I attended the Ogun State University, Ago-iwoye, Nigeria, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics (Second Class Upper) in 1991. I also obtained M.Sc. and Doctorate Degrees in Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1995 and 2003 respectively. I have over 29 years experience across research, consulting, tertiary education teaching in macroeconomic theory, poverty, income distribution, and labour market issues. I am also well experienced in pension administration and management.

I have held various positions at the National Pension Commission, including Head, Research and Policy Unit, Head, North-central Zonal Office, Head, SerVicom Unit, Head, Retirement Benefit Administration and Insurance units, Head, Computation and Remittance unit.

As a Research Fellow at the Development Policy Centre, Ibadan, Nigeria between 1999 and 2005, I was the desk officer to a number of projects, including: World Bank Project on “The Potentials for Non-oil Revenue in Nigeria”, and Friedrich Ebert Foundation Training Programme on Development Planning at the Local Government Level.

I have also been engaged by the World Bankas a Consultant in 2006 to assist in determining the vulnerability of Nigerians to poverty. As an extension of the vulnerability to poverty project, I was also engaged as a consultant by the Nordic Consulting Group of Denmark in 2007 to undertake a vulnerability assessment of Nigerians to poverty. I am currently the Head of Micro Pension Department at the National Pension Commission, Abuja, Nigeria.
