Faisal is currently working at State Bank of Pakistan in the Payment Systems Department. He has been associated with the central bank since 2006. Before joining the central bank, he worked as a senior software engineer and worked in the software industry in Pakistan for around five years. He holds degrees in Computer Science and MBA. He was a Humphrey Fellow at Boston University in the domain of Technology and Policy Management during the years 2014 and 2015 whereby he was also affiliated with State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) Boston as a Business Analyst. His interests include BlockChain Application in Financial Industry, Technology, and its Impact on Financial Inclusion. He has also been a speaker at various fora of Payment Systems.
