Insect cells show promise for space applications

Natalie Rubio and Sophie Letcher—a former graduate student and 2nd year graduate student in the Kaplan Lab respectively—have been working on “Deep Space Entomoculture”, which could potentially be better for deep space than mammalian cell alternatives.
