Tender Food—a local company working to make delicious, nutritious, and affordable alternative meats—was recently awarded the highly competitive Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF); in this second phase of the project, Tender will collaborate with TUCCA to evaluate the benefits of adding animal cells to Tender’s unique plant-based products.
