Hope for New Alzheimer’s Treatments

A preliminary study led by Kaplan Lab postdoctoral research fellow Dana Cairns, offers promising new avenues for Alzheimer’s treatment. Using a 3D model of living human brain cells, the team found that certain compounds, including those found in green tea and resveratrol, could significantly decrease the formation of Alzheimer’s-associated plaques. This exciting research, which explores the potential of dietary supplements to inhibit the progression of the disease, opens the door for further investigation and the development of new preventative strategies.
