About the Program

Workplace Women’s Health and Empowerment Return on Investment is a health and workplace women’s health and well-being intervention implemented in India by Swasti, which uses its Cluster Model of information and services to support women workers and managers. Under the Cluster Model, rather than each brand running separate but similar programs in the same or neighboring factories, brands, factories, industry associations, governments, and other investors join together to invest in a unified worker health and well-being program in an industrial geographic cluster. For the intervention site, Swasti creates a cluster of garment factories with majority female workers and provides a package of information and services on primary and reproductive health care. The intervention will include wellness facilitators that promote good health practices and education on health as well as training for managers and supervisors to build better relationships with workers.
