ED 191 – Making to Learn!

  • by

Hello Makers at Tufts!

We are excited to announce a new course at Tufts this Fall! The department of Education is offering ED-191: Making to Learn, in which students will have the opportunity to explore how people learn, and how people make.

You have heard it before, “hands on learning is good,” but what does that really mean? In this course, we explore making as a way of learning. We connect theories of how people learn to different ways that people make, including: playing and tinkering with materials, expressing ideas, improvising, and solving problems in the world. Prerequisites: None – we will work from your lived experiences in the material world! Join us for a fun semester of making, learning, and learning about making.

If you have any questions about this course, or wish to learn more about it, please reach out to Professor Brian Gravel (brian.gravel@tufts.edu).
