Cambridge Arts is pleased to announce the 7th annual Cambridge Arts Open Studios, an event that showcases visual, performing and literary artists active in all neighborhoods of Cambridge. During one spectacular weekend in May 2015, more than 150 Cambridge based artists working in all media, will participate in this celebration of art at approximately 65 venues throughout the city.

Cambridge Arts is seeking volunteers to assist with operations during Cambridge Arts Open Studios, to take place Saturday, May 9th and Sunday, May 10th, 2015 between 12noon-6pm. Volunteers will serve as representatives of the Cambridge Arts Council and Cambridge Open Studios. Duties include common venue supervision, visitor directory, shuttle assistance, bike tours, and more.

Qualifications: Candidates must have an enthusiasm for community arts and engagement with the public. Ability to commit to one or two 3 hour shifts of volunteer time, two shifts preferred but not required.

Work Schedule: Saturday, May 9th and/or Sunday, May 10th between 12noon-3pm & 3pm- 6pm each day.  Shifts are 3 hours each, again volunteers are encouraged to work at least two shifts if possible.

This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved with nonprofit and community events and to meet other artists.   Each volunteer will receive an invitation to our Volunteer Planning Pizza Party on Thursday, May 7th, where they will receive their assignments and also our culminating VIP Reception/Artist Meet & Greet for the Open Studios weekend on Thursday, May 14th.
