Docents also act as clerks in our gift shops/admission desk and prepare and serve pots of Tasha Tudor’s Welsh Breakfast tea while guests watch the Tasha Tudor documentaries. Interest and passion for Tasha Tudor’s 1830’s lifestyle, art, old-fashioned skills such as knitting, sewing, canning, gardening, weaving etc. are all helpful. Work schedule: 2 days a week, from 12-5pm. Total weekly hours: 10 hours a week. Description of duties: provides support to Committee Coordinator and President, contributes with event planning, helps membership committee with administration tasks (including processing new memberships), maintain constant communication with archive and marketing committees, record volunteer hours, act as a liaison between committees to ensure proper communications and status reports, provides support to volunteers’ recruitment process, publish volunteer opportunities on Craigslist, Volunteer Match and other job posting sites, updates the museum’s visitors list, upload and manage documents on Google Drive, process feedback and mailing list sign up forms, add contacts to Constant Contact account, updates Google Calendar, welcome visitors, other duties as assigned. Desired qualifications: Excel database management and use of Word Doc. Phone skills. Filing skills. Customer Service. Volunteer must have a laptop computer.
