The merchandise we sell goes directly towards maintaining and running the Old State House Museum, the seat of British government in colonial Massachusetts and one of the oldest public buildings in America.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is friendly, motivated, and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day. We sell books and unique souvenirs, offer tickets to many Boston tours and attractions, provide information about the city and its history, and operate the Old State House Museum.
Responsibilities:
-Ring up purchases
-Answer questions
-Sell tickets
-Oversee museum

Qualifications:
-Flexible availability
-Previous retail/cash-handling experience
-Weekend & some holiday availability
-Able to be on your feet for an eight-hour shift
-Comfortable walking up and down stairs
-Able to lift 30 pounds

Description:
The Worcester Art Museum has a part-time opening, evening and weekends, for an experienced Wedding/Event Facilitator. This is not a “planner” position but rather one executing all the client details during the event. Working closely with the Event Coordinator and Assistant Event Sales Manager, this position acts as client liaison to provide excellent “front of the house” customer service for weddings and corporate events. Duties include ensuring set-up is done to specification and on time for client arrival, coordinating catering and vendor logistics of the event, assisting with bar management and all aspects of wedding/event management.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be able to engage positively with diverse groups of people in a public setting and react to changing needs and demands in a positive way. Must have three or more years of experience facilitating wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, and corporate events in an event setting; hotel, country club or unique venue.Other requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift 25 lbs. and negotiate stairs, and availability to work evenings and weekends.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Associate Director, Leadership & Planned Giving is responsible for securing $1-$5 million per year in leadership gifts ($50,000+) to support the Museum’s strategic initiatives. The position will build a major gift pipeline that creates a sustainable philanthropy stream for Museum of Science’s unrestricted and restricted giving. The Associate Director also acts as an ambassador and spokesperson for the Museum, interacting with a wide array of individuals from Presidents/CEOs to Museum volunteers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Raise between $1-5 million annually
  • Raise Annual Fund and Gala (unrestricted) 5 and 6 figure gifts annually
  • Dedicate 70% of job to donor cultivation, engagement, solicitation
  • Complete 120 leadership gift plans for assigned prospect pool annually
  • Design and execute 25-30 leadership gift solicitation annually
  • Complete approximately 15-20 significant donor interactions a month

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday.
REPORTS TO:

Sr. Director, Leadership & Planned Giving

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree
  • Seven (7) years or more of major gifts fundraising experience
  • Proven track record of soliciting and securing 6 and 7 figure gifts
  • Demonstrated understanding of major gift best practices including adherence to an accountability matrix and pipeline development
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and cultivate new institutional prospects
  • Proven communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with others

STARTING SALARY:

Exempt (Salaried). Commensurate with experience.
