On Wednesday, July 8, Historic New England and Suffolk University are hosting a movie premiere and discussion on the new documentary, Haymarket. Below is more information on this free event (who doesn’t love free?), but it does require that you reserve a ticket. The program starts at 7:30 PM at Suffolk University.

Volunteers play a vital role in the maintenance and growth of Tower Hill Botanic Garden. The Worcester County Horticultural Society is a private, non-profit educational institution dedicated to the “the purpose of advancing the science and encouraging and improving the practice of horticulture”. From April through October, dozens of volunteers help maintain the beautiful gardens at Tower Hill. Weeding, pruning, planting, watering and other outdoor activities are performed weekly on Wednesday and Friday mornings.
