Group part of the NSF AI Institute for Fundamental Interactions
Our group is part of the Institute for AI and Fundamental Interactions (IAIFI) one of five NSF-funded institutes dedicated to advancing techniques and applications of AI! IAIFI is a collaboration between researchers at MIT, Harvard, Northeastern, and Tufts.
More information about the institute is here and here.
A central component of IAIFI will be the AIFI Fellows program. The Fellows will have substantial freedom in choosing their research focus; each fellow will be assigned two mentors – one from Physics and one from AI – to guide their choice of research topic and evaluate their research progress. The IAIFI is committed to building a culturally diverse intellectual community, and strongly encourages applications from women and minorities. Any inquiries about the program should be directed to iaifi-fellows@mit.edu. More info for applying to the program here. Please consider applying! Especially if you have an interest in machine learning, AI, and neutrino physics 🙂
Finally, our group will be looking for a new graduate student to do work at the intersection of AI and neutrino physics as part of the IAIFI. Please reach out to Taritree Wongjirad to find out more about the institute and applying to the graduate physics program at Tufts!
