Responding to Cultural and Legal Adversity: An interactive workshop

Workshop on responding to cultural and legal adversity in today’s society. Open to all faculty and staff. The topics will include a presentation and leading of a group discussion on historical background of LGBT cultural adversity, recent events from past 5-10 years of responding to this adversity, the role of a university toward equity for LGBT staff and faculty, listening to each other’s stories and perspectives, and current thoughts on coping with adversity and creating a positive work environment for staff and faculty. On Medford campus.

Promoting Resilience & Positive Outcomes: An interactive workshop

This interactive presentation will highlight best practices and resources for supporting LGBTQ staff, faculty and students, with a focus on transgender and gender expansive persons. It will feature the experiences of staff and faculty who have successfully navigated this terrain. The presentation will include gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. The presentation is open to all Tufts staff and faculty from all campuses, divisions, and gender identities. On Medford campus.
