Digital Fabrication

Where did you go to college?

The School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) right here for my MFA, and Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) for my BFA.

What medium(s) do you use in your personal practice?

I enjoy experimenting with all mediums, but I have mostly worked with digital media and installation lately. Especially 3D printing and 3D animation have been my biggest passions for the past year. Check out my latest works on my website!

What is your zodiac sign?

Gemini (tell me what it means since I don’t know much about the zodiac signs)

How many continents have you visited?

Three: Asia (born and raised in South Korea until 15y/0, Philipines, Thailand, Indonesia), North America (US), Europe (UK, France)

Favorite artist(s)?

This is the hardest question of all time… it changes all the time.

Favorite book or movie??

I recently watched Princess Mononoke by Hayao Miyazaki, and it was great. But Ode to My Father (국제시장) is my all-time favorite Korean movie.

What is your weirdest hobby or collection??

I collect bottles and glass jars (especially tomato sauce bottles) to make tea in them.

If you were a vegetable, which would you be?

Garlic, because I am basically made out of garlic as a Korean already. Also, it’s healthy and delicious!

Migo (미고) is an eighteen-pound cat that my mom rescued in Korea. His name is an abbreviation for “crazy cat” in Korean, and he lives up to his name.
