BCLN/CEEO Professional Learning Community Kick-Off

On Thursday, August 19th the CEEO and BCLN (RABC) hosted their first meeting in a series of professional learning community gatherings. Almost 30 educators from all over Brazil were in attendance, representing a wide range of educational backgrounds, subjects, and experiences. This collaborative series of meetings will be focusing on how Novel Engineering could be utilized to bring more playful, hands-on engineering activities to Brazilian classrooms. Our first meeting was so much fun! Participants freely shared their stories of what inspired them to become educators, what they’re passionate about, and how they want to bring playful learning through technology into their educational spaces. Discussions were aided by a live simultaneous translation service, allowing all participants to hear and speak in their choice of either English or Brazilian Portuguese.
