Pets and Well-Being Lab

The Pets and Well-Being (PAW) Lab is a research group led by Dr. Megan Mueller at Tufts University. The lab is dedicated to exploring the complex interactions between humans and animals, specializing in understanding human-animal interaction (HAI) in youth and families. We are committed to conducting and disseminating strengths-based research that leads to practical applications that will improve the lives of diverse children, families, and animals. We believe that research should be empathy manifested as science*, and aim to conduct scholarship that respects the lived experience of our human and animal participants.

The PAW Lab is located at the Center for Animals and Public Policy at Tufts University and is affiliated with the Tufts Initiative for Human-Animal Interaction.
