December 5 | 4:30 – 6 pm
MILLER EVENT SPACE (MILLER 20, next door to TIE)
December’s TIE Talks will feature Timothy S Griffin, Associate Professor and Program Director of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. He will discuss the environmental damage from grazing livestock, which is a significant issue in the US and globally. The US has made a significant conservation investment to mitigate the degradation of water quality on grasslands, through the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP), managed by US Department of Agriculture. Professor Griffin will analyze the distribution and extent of the implementation of these practices in the eastern one-half of the US.
