The Other Migration, Part 2: Journey Through the Darién Gap

Migrants and refugees who have fled to South America may attempt to travel up through Central America in search of safety and stability in the US or Canada. Charlie Bentley graduated with a Fletcher MALD in 2019. Prior to Fletcher, he lived and worked with deaf communities in countries experiencing crisis, which later led to a career as a disability and poverty social worker. Charlie is a Watson Fellow, Fulbright recipient, USAID Payne Fellow, and Bellingcat-trained investigative journalist. He is now embarking on a career as a Foreign Service Officer with USAID.
