This past weekend the Tufts Hybrid Racing team visited the Tufts Energy Conference.  We had a great time participating in the Hot Rod Show and the Tufts Energy Challenge.  Despite the cold weather, many conference attendees ventured outside to the Hot Rod Show to learn about the intricacies of the THR 12′s parallel-hybrid powertrain.  Those who chose to stay inside were able to learn about our battery management system which our electrical systems team entered in the Tufts Energy Challenge.  The whole team really enjoyed being part of the conference and discussing different solutions for the world’s energy problems with fellow classmates, professors, and professionals from industry.  At the end of the weekend we were thrilled to learn that our battery management system design had won first prize in the Tufts Energy Challenge “Action Plan” category.  All-in-all it was a great weekend, and we can’t wait to come back next year.  Here are some pictures from the weekend.
