SFC is officially launching during Boston Fashion week with an exhibit of Sustainable Fashion featuring the designs of Boston based designers; GeorgAnnette Chatterly, Lallitara, MULXIPLY, Amy Plante, Ellen Shea, Avni Trivedi and Carlos Villamil. Featuring both established and emerging designers- this exhibit will showcase their innovative fashion and the sustainable message unique to each designer/brand. With a focus on community engagement the SFC has aligned itself with the Urbano Project, located in a revitalized brewery in Jamaica Plain, as an ideal location to launch and
present this initial exhibit.
SFC is a community of designers, retailers, consumers and thought-leaders. Founded in Boston, MA in April 2013 by Jennifer Varekamp, Annalisa Oswald, Shannon Whitehead, Tanja Cesh, Carlos Villamil and Kate Black, the SFC aims to initiate the conversation about ethical fashion and what it means to be a both a
socially-responsible brand, as well as a conscious consumer.
