The Cellular Agriculture Course was originally taught during the Spring 2020 at the Tufts Experimental College. The content represents version two of our course, which we plan on teaching during the Spring semester of 2021. This new version builds upon what we learned from our original class and aims to give students a comprehensive overview of the processes involved in the production of in vitro meat – from primary cow cell isolations at the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine to the generation of 3D meat tissue constructs via tissue engineering techniques.
