Breeding Dogs and Puppies

With support from Spring Point LLC Life of Riley, Collaborative for Shelter Dogs is conducting research to learn more about the experiences and needs of owners whose dogs have had puppies. Sometimes called “community breeders”, the owners who have participated in this research have asked for more information about breeding dogs and puppies. In conjunction with veterinarians and veterinarian students, two informational sheets have been developed so far. Below you can find information about nutrition for pregnant mother dogs and learn more about complications during canine labor.
