Sexual Harassment Policy

Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination that violates federal and state laws and University policy. Sexual harassment is defined to include but is not limited to unwanted sexual advances, unwelcomed requests for sexual favors, and other behavior of a sexual nature when submission to such conduct is made a term and condition of an individual’s academic status or employment; submission to such conduct is used as a basis for academic or employment decisions; or such conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with the individual’s academic or work performance or of creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment in which to work or learn.

Tufts full-time, part-time, and temporary faculty and staff are required to complete Discrimination and Harrassment Prevention training. This includes Visiting Lecturers and student instructors. You should receive an email with a list of online training dates. To sign up for this training, please contact the Office of Equal Opportunity at oeotraining@tufts.edu or call 617-627-3298.
