Faculty Photo ID Card

New lecturers in the Experimental College should obtain a Tufts photo ID card once all employment information is processed by Human Resources. ID cards are necessary to access the many resources Tufts offers to faculty. You can learn more about ID issuance, replacement, and photo uploads here.

Facilities and Events

Your ID card will provide you with access to university libraries, campus athletic facilities, and Tufts sponsored events. See tufts.edu for regular listings of Tufts events.

Library Resources

The Tisch Library is Tufts’ Arts & Sciences library. Tisch’s collections include books, periodicals, films, and the digital collections and archives. Other resources include a computer lab and the Digital Design Studio. While classes are in session, the library is open Monday-Thursday from 8:00am to 1:00 am, Friday from 8:00am to 9:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am to 9:00pm, and Sunday from 10:00am to 1:00am. Your ID will be needed for borrowing books and AV material out of the library. If you wish to borrow library materials prior to when you are able to get an ID (i.e., before your payroll is processed), contact Howard Woolf for a sponsor form.

Student Counseling and Academic Services

The Tufts Counseling Center is available to consult with university faculty and staff regarding matters of student life and development. The Counseling Center is staffed by professionally trained counselors. In addition, each student is assigned an Associate Dean. Both counseling center staff and associate deans can assist with personal and academic concerns. If you are concerned about a student in your class, please contact us. We can put you in touch with the most appropriate person to consult with you or help you refer the student for direct assistance.
