Simana Chimana
Policy Advisor, Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA)
Since 2014, Mr. Simana Chimana has worked at NAMFISA, a non-banking supervisory authority, as a Policy Adviser on consumer micro credit and agreements, providing policy input in the design of regulatory and supervisory framework on micro-lending transactions. He has also worked at the Bank of Namibia (1996-2009), specializing in the compilation and analysis of the balance of payments and international investment position statistics. He served as a Senior Adviser to the Executive Director responsible for Namibia, Zimbabwe, Angola and Mozambique at the African Development Bank. His area of interest is on the interface between financial inclusion instruments and economic social welfare, especially of excluded populations.
