Jabu Moroko

Mr Moroko holds a Masters degree in Public and Development Management from the University of the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg, South Africa. His undergraduate qualifications are in the areas of economics and public administration. He is highly experienced in government/public sector budget and policy formulation, implementation, monitoring and analysis for both national and sub-national (provincial) governments. Professionally, his career in the public service spans 17 years, where he began as an intern in the National Treasury in April 2006, and rising through the ranks in the divisions such as Public Finance and Intergovernmental Relations. He currently serves in the position of Director responsible for the national budget process in the Budget Office Division of the National Treasury. The Directorate he leads is responsible for developing and coordinating processes to ensure that the national government budget determination is run in an efficient, effective, and transparent manner in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
