Ms. Caroline Tioman is the Managing Director for the National Agency for Financial Inclusion Promotion and has nine years of advisory experience at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. As a Technical Advisor, her primary responsibility is to research and monitor government policies for banking and microfinance sectors and assist the Ministry and the Central Bank in creating improvement in policies and procedures in the financial sector as well as structural reforms. The National Agency for Financial Inclusion Promotion led by Ms. Tioman coordinates and manages various projects to improve access to financial services to underserved population. She has been instrumental in the elaboration of the National Financial inclusion strategy as well as the National Financial Education Program and oversees their implementation. She represents the Ministry of Economy and Finance in various international institutions including the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) and Better Than Cash Alliance. Currently she serves as the principal representative member of various committees in the WAEMU region and is the primary national financial inclusion focal point.
