Established all round Corporate Communications Practitioner with a cumulative experience of 21 years in the Corporate, Development (NGO) and Media sectors. Of these, 14 years have been in senior management and leadership positions. With a strong Journalism, Corporate Communications, Economics and Management background, Noella has overseen the establishment and institutionalization of functional Communication Departments. developed and executed several Corporate Communication, Media Relations, Brand Management, Crisis Communication and PR Campaign Strategies. A passionate strategy and governance enthusiast, Noella has established and maintained Quality Management Systems (QMS), Risk Management and Business Process Re-engineering strategies, mentored and coached students and upcoming PR and Communication Management practitioners.

Noella served in the Government’s task force on “Improvement of Government Information and Public Communications to Aligning them to emerging dynamics and stakeholder needs” and authored the report on “Winning Public Trust”. She is currently the Head of Corporate Communications at the Insurance Regulatory Authority-Kenya (IRA) and a guest Corporate Communications lecturer at Daystar University. She is also an appointee of the Ministry of Education and sits on the Board of Management of Lwak Girls’ High School in Siaya County. Noella has multi-sector/country/donor working experiences gained from working in Kenya, Zanzibar and Southern Tanzania. She holds a Master of Arts Degree (Corporate Communication) from Daystar University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Economics & Communication) from the University of Nairobi. She is a trained journalist from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication and is currently working on her thesis for an Executive MBA from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.


Noella is an avid champion for equity and equality. She chairs IRA Committees on Gender and Disability Mainstreaming, HIV/AIDS and Alcohol and Drug Abuse. In her spare time, she loves to garden, read and mentor students at Precious Blood Girls’ High School.
