Nancy Arhinfuwaa Imadi currently heads the Licensing and Product Approvals Unit of the FinTech and Innovation Office at the Bank of Ghana.
She’s a lawyer with vast experience within the Banking and FinTech sector building expertise in regulatory regimes, risk, corporate governance, and financial commercial transactions, and currently focusing on the Ghanaian financial ecosystem, developing policies and regulations that promote a sound digital payment ecosystem, compliance, consumer protection, innovation and financial inclusion.
Nancy is result oriented and has been adjudged a high performer by both senior and junior colleagues. She is known for her excellent communication and ability to build and maintain lasting rapport among people of diverse backgrounds.
She holds the conviction that inclusive innovative financial technologies offer a unique opportunity to alleviate poverty by extending access to persons beyond the last mile who are excluded from traditional financial services. As such, products and services developed by regulated entities should aim at harnessing and including such hitherto excluded persons. Nancy is motivated by challenging tasks that require creative thinking to achieve optimal outcomes and excellent results and prides herself in celebrating the victories of her team.
Nancy holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration- Finance option from the University of Ghana Business School, a Qualifying Certificate in Law, from the Ghana school of Law and an LLB from the Faculty of Law, University of Ghana. She also served as a Panelist at the Responsible Finance Forum (#RFF23) sharing knowledge on shaping responsible digital finance ecosystem and consumer recourse.
