Lucas Iten Teixeira

Analyst, Financial Citizenship Department, Central Bank of Brazil

Lucas Iten Teixeria has been an analyst of the Central Bank of Brazil since 2010. Currently he is working at the Division of Financial Citizenship Research and Monitoring in the Financial Citizenship Department. He develops researches in the field of financial inclusion, financial consumer protection and financial education using microdata and surveys. He also takes part of the delegation of the Central Bank of Brazil in the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI).

Lucas Iten Teixeira has a undergraduate of Economics by the University of São Paulo. He also has a master (2011) and a graduate degree (2019) of Economics at Getulio Vargas Foundation in Brazil. His PhD Thesis evaluated local credit policies and won the 2019 INFI-Febraban Banking Economy Award.

His field of interest focuses on financial inclusion, quantitative analysis and public policies. He can speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
