Oscar Martinez is an economist with a Master degree in Economics from Duke University. He worked in the Financial Stability Department of the Central Bank of Colombia for seven years, was the Director of the Economic Studies Department of the Colombian Pension Administrators Union (ASOFONDOS), and worked for five years at the Ministry of Finance in Colombia as advisor to the Vice Ministry. Currently, he is the Deputy Director of Prudential Regulation of the Financial Regulation Unit, the entity in charge of regulatory projects including the prudential standards of the Colombian financial system.
