Rochelle Tomas is involved in the design, coordination and implementation of the Central Bank of the Philippines (BSP) financial inclusion initiatives. Her specific areas of work include policy research and formulation, financial education for unbanked sectors, and advocacy programs that generate awareness and support for financial inclusion. She undertakes these roles in a manner consistent with the broader BSP objective of financial stability and integrity. She supports the BSP Inclusive Finance Steering Committee, which provides strategic guidance on the BSP financial inclusion agenda, as well as the interagency body, which oversees implementation of the Philippine National Strategy for Financial Inclusion. She represents the BSP in the AFI Financial Inclusion Strategies Peer Learning Group, as well as in other international and domestic forums on financial inclusion.
