Digital Inequality: A Discussion on Technology, Race and Politics in America

September 30, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm

Co-Sponsored by The Fletcher School’s Hitachi Center for Technology and Fletcher LEADS

What is the role of social media and technology in politics? As waves of protests against racism surge in the U.S, during an election year, we ask what role has technology played in politics. Are black people and people of colour affected adversely by issues plaguing technology, for example, like digital access? This panel serves as a starting point to discussing what racism and tearing down racist structures means in online spaces.
