Historical Clothing & Textiles: Collections Management Internship

Description:
Plimoth Plantation’s Historical Clothing & Textiles program is seeking an intern with an interest in historical clothing, research, and/or archives. The ideal candidate would like to gain experience working with museum collections and organizing research materials; some research skills are necessary, as the tasks will include refining memos and papers. Additionally, the internship includes some hands-on work with our reproduction clothing and textiles, so basic sewing skills will be helpful. Qualifications:
A background or interest in collections management is essential to the successful completion of this internship; the candidate must be familiar with research techniques and organizational strategies. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, scanners, and other cataloguing tools and resources. Adaptable to different objects and collections. Ability to work with others in tight spaces.
