| Project Summary: The MNHS Editorial Intern will assist the journal and book publishing staff in the areas of editorial research, fact checking, production editing, photo research, marketing, and administration. We offer an exciting opportunity to work with veteran staff willing to share their knowledge of the book and magazine publishing industry, and also provide unique and independent projects. The intern will be working in an office environment with a mix of computer and non-computer related work.

| Ideal Degrees: History, American Studies, English, journalism or communications majors preferred; other liberal arts programs considered.
Student Qualifications: The ideal intern candidate should have an interest in publishing; strong writing, research, and communication skills, excellent organizational skills; aptitude and interest in social media/marketing; and the demonstrated ability to work independently. Part-time internship positions available for Fall of 2016 ranging from 12-24 hours a week with flexible virtual component.
Interns will be working in marketing and promotion, which includes launching community marketing campaigns and developing strategic emailing and mailing lists and more. Internship also provides excellent experience in launching and maintaining social media campaigns.
Some hours may be devoted for arts administration duties. Interns may also gain hands-on experience working with faculty members in their visual, dance and music classes.
