Met current and former Zhao lab members, as always, for lunch. Small group this time – with Zengyi Shao (Iowa State), Huimin Zhao (UIUC), Ryan Cobb (Dow Agrosciences), and Behnam Enghiad (grad student in the Zhao lab).

Prof. Nair visits his alma mater to deliver a seminar! (1/29)
Prof. Nair returned to Cornell and presented results from Venkatesh’s work on xylose metabolism in yeast. It was great to be back in Ithaca after almost a decade and a half after graduation! Thanks to Prof. Matthew DeLisa for the invitation.
Prof. Nair attends AIChE in Minneapolis, MN (10/29 – 11/1)
While there, he gave a talk on Zac and Joe’s work on engineering microbes to treat metabolic disorders and also a poster on Sara and Venkatesh’s work on predicted metabolic disruptions in metabolically engineered cells.
Prof. Nair also met up with current and previous members of the Zhao lab for lunch!
