The Sheldon Krimsky Fund for Environmental Ethics and Values
The Sheldon Krimsky Fund for Environmental Ethics and Values was established in honor of Professor Krimsky to support Urban Environmental Policy and Planning students who want to undertake research in the broad policy/planning area of environmental ethics and values. We are happy to announce that this Tufts Endowed Fund is now offering awards to students. In 2025, the Fund granted two graduate students with awards for their research. One student received funding to support a research project on tourism and gentrification in Sri Lanka, and another student received funding to support research on the community care experiences of women during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are excited to see how Dr. Krimsky’s fund will continue to inspire and support students in the years ahead.
Shelly’s Lounge
The beautiful Dr. Sheldon Krimsky Lounge (‘Shelly’s Lounge’) formally opened in January 2024 on the top floor of the Urban Environmental and Policy and Planning Department at Tufts University. This new lounge is for graduate students to study and collaborate together, and it also houses Professor Krimsky’s personal collection of books on environmental ethics and values for members of the community to share. Shelly’s Lounge is dedicated to the life and legacy of Dr. Sheldon Krimsky.
Eliot Krimsky dedicates album titled, “I Made My House”, to father Sheldon Krimsky

“I Made My House” is the new album by composer and songwriter Eliot Krimsky, a journey through grief, memory, and time. Sparked by the unexpected passing of his father in 2022, the album evokes a liminal space of loss where dreams, memories and the afterlife drift in and out of focus.
