Paul Rose
Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law
Paul Rose is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Frank E. and Virginia H. Bazler Designated Professor in Business Law at The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law. He also serves as Executive Director of Law, Finance & Governance @ Ohio State, a nonpartisan program to further the discussion and study of law as it pertains to finance and governance in business. Professor Rose teaches Business Associations, Comparative Corporate Law, Corporate Finance, Investment Management Law and Securities Regulation.
He has written extensively on sovereign wealth funds, corporate governance and securities regulation, and has consulted with and provided testimony on these topics to numerous regulators, including the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, the Government Accountability Office, and the Congressional Research Service.
Prior to joining the Ohio State faculty, Professor Rose was the Visiting Assistant Professor in Securities and Finance at Northwestern University School of Law. Before joining Northwestern, Professor Rose practiced law in the corporate and securities practice group of Covington & Burling’s San Francisco office. He worked as an assistant trader in equity and emerging market derivatives at Citibank, N.A. in New York prior to law school.
