Bilingual Research Assistant

Tufts Interdisciplinary Evaluation Research (TIER) in the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University is seeking a part-time Research Assistant (RA) who is a native Spanish-speaker. The RA will support with qualitative research tasks, including creating study materials, interview and focus group recruitment, notetaking at interviews and focus groups, leading one-on-one interviews, or co-facilitating focus groups, cleaning up transcripts, supporting with data analysis, and other miscellaneous tasks. This individual will support with data collection across several of TIER’s evaluations. Hours will vary from anywhere from 5 to 10 hours per week. Pay rates range from $28–35 per hour, commensurate on experience. All travel expenses will be reimbursed. This position will begin immediately upon hire. Qualifications

• Interest in the early childhood field
• Native Spanish-speaker
• Must be based in Massachusetts and intermittently travel to the Medford office
• Can dedicate up to 10 hours per week to TIER
• Flexible schedule that can allow for interviews/focus groups during the day or evenings
• Has a valid driver’s license and ideally a car for travel to interviews/focus groups including to rural areas of the state
• Detail-oriented
• Personable & reliable
• Willingness to learn and grow
