Social Events with Spectrum
Spectrum, the LGBTQIA+ club on campus, would like to take a moment to acknowledge Pride Month. Pride Month is an annual celebration to acknowledge the Stonewall Riots of 1969 which where a flashbulb moment in LGBTQIA+ history and the beginning of the modern Gay Liberation Movement.
In honor of this month Spectrum has put up a bulletin board with 6 activists behind the modern gay rights movement. Please stop by the 7th floor and check this out!
As well, Spectrum is announcing a few social events for the first half of the month (more to come, stay tuned!).
- 6/10/2022 at 8pm: Drag Race Friday’s at Club Café Boston. Come watch the new episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Allstars!
- 6/25/2022 at 11:30am: Trans Resistance March and Festival from Cedar Square Park in Roxbury to Franklin Park Playstead

Spectrum will also be continuing the “Take the Pledge” initiative for LGBTQIA+ identifying people and Ally’s to outwardly show their support for the community by placing a sticker of the Progress Pride Flag on your ID/Badge. Spectrum will be handing out stickers on Wednesday, June 8th from 9am—12pm, on the 4th floor of the Hirsch Library, they will be available for YOU to take the pledge and receive a sticker on your ID/Badge.
