Just months after the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, more than a dozen states have enacted abortion bans. What does the Dobbs decision mean for patients and providers, the future of healthcare policy and unenumerated rights? How do we make sense of the political battle already waging at the state level? Join Tisch College and the Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM) for a panel conversation about the aftermath of the Dobbs decision, its effect on our most vulnerable populations, and how we move forward. Featured panelists include:

  • Dr. Danielle Roncari, MD, MPH, Associate Professor of Ob/Gyn at TUSM where she serves as the Director of Family Planning and the Director of the Ryan Residency Training Program;
  • Dr. Nina Ashford, DrPH, Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at TUSM and Policy Lead for the Tufts Center for Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice;
  • Amanda Hainsworth, Managing Attorney at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, Civil Rights Division.

This event is cosponsored by the Tufts University School of Medicine, the Center for Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice, the Tufts Democrats, the Political Science Department and NARAL Tufts Chapter. This event is limited to the Tufts community only, including current students, faculty, staff and alumni. Please register using a Tufts-affiliated email address, and you may be asked to show your Tufts ID upon arrival. The event will not be livestreamed beyond the livestream watch party offered on the Medford campus for students unable to travel downtown (more information below).
