HDA Volunteers at the Massachusetts Hispanic Dental Association (MA HDA)

Tufts HDA members had the pleasure to volunteer at the Massachusetts Hispanic Dental Association (MA HDA) booth and the Hispanic International Mission (HIM) booth this weekend at Yankee Dental. HDA Members and faculty also welcomed National Hispanic Dental Association Past President Dr. Mercedes Mota Martinez and CEO Dr. Manuel Cordero. These are two big representatives from National HDA that came to visit the three Boston dental schools, Tufts, Boston University, and Harvard. After Yankee Dental on Friday 1/27, MA HDA hosted an icebreaker event between the three HDA Student chapters, along with Dr. Mota Martinez and Dr. Crodero. Representing Tufts on the MA HDA board is Dr. Merelyn Hong. She worked tremendously in planning the icebreaker event, welcoming our national HDA guests, and setting up the MA HDA and HIM booths at Yankee Dental. We applaud her work! 

We would also like to note that Dr. Aidee Herman, founder of MA HDA, HIM, and Tufts HDA, was honored as an exclusive 15-year member by the American Academy of Dentistry at Yankee Dental this year.
