Evidence of New Peptide That Stops Dental Decay

Clinical trials show that a brush-on treatment, self-assembling peptide P11-4, is a promising treatment to arrest initial caries lesions. A systematic review and meta-analysis published in The Journal of the American Dental Association sheds light on the potential step forward in minimally invasive care. The authors highlight that P11-4 can be another option, in addition to silver diamine fluoride, for proactive treatment of initial signs of caries.
