Volunteers needed! Upcoming Chinatown events

Hi All!

August brings two community events in our neighborhood and we are looking for student volunteers!  Tufts’ Office of Community Relations has sponsored Tufts tables at these events, and we’d love students there to share health info, offer small giveaways, and just be a part of these important neighborhood gatherings.

Chinatown Night Out, August 1st, 3pm-6pm in Tai Tung Village located at 230 Harrison Avenue.

National Night Out is an annual event which helps communities learn about and rally against neighborhood crime and promotes health and wellness. A free event– it includes food, prizes, entertainment.   If you can volunteer, contact me at Nancy.marks@tufts.edu and I will get you toothbrushes to hand out and games to play with kids/adults.  (Even if you could come 3- 5 that would be great!)

August Moon Festival, August 13th (10am – 5pm divided into 2-hour shifts)

If your you or your club are interested in participating in either event, please indicate your interest and availability using the form here

(You will have to open it in Box – “Open with Microsoft Office Online” to make an edit – or you can email Jen Greer Morrissey (who is coordinating this) at jennifer.greer_morrissey@tufts.edu and she can add youEven if don’t know what you’d like to do in terms of activities/giveaways, but know that you CAN be there, please fill out the form and she will follow up!

If you’re around, come show some luv to Chinatown!!!
