Special Smiles Outreach Visit to Josiah Quincy Elementary School
This month the members of Special Smiles volunteered at Josiah Quincy Elementary School and presented to students with special health care needs and IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities). The volunteers used their knowledge to teach the importance of oral health with posters, Rex the Dinosaur, fruit cutting, and happy/sad teeth activities.
Special Smiles volunteers and the students had a great time together learning about how to brush their teeth, and knowing which foods are good for teeth and there was even some dancing. Special Smiles would like to thank Josiah Quincy Elementary School for opening its doors to share their knowledge about oral health.
