Madison Park Technical Vocational High School’s Dental Presentation Sparks Inspiration

Madison Park Technical Vocational High School shines once again as a beacon of
inspiration, thanks to Dental Assistant Professor and Hygienist Maria Martin’s
exceptional coordination of a motivating presentation. Special appreciation goes to Ms.Martin for extending the invitation to Dr. Martha Forero, faculty of the Public Health
and Community Service department and Yudi Quintero a third-year dental student at
Tuft University School of Dental Medicine, who shared their journeys to encourage
students to consider dentistry as a career.

In a captivating session, Yudi Quintero, a former Madison Park student, shared her
inspiring journey from dental assistant to skilled hygienist, currently thriving as a third-
year dental student at Tufts University. Yudi’s story is a testament to dedication, hard
work, and resilience, showcasing the possibilities within dentistry. Her return to alma
mater reflects a commitment to giving back and mentoring the next generation.

Dr. Forero, a distinguished dentist with a global perspective, shared invaluable
experiences practicing dentistry in different countries. Her focus on pediatric dentistry, particularly aiding children with special needs, highlighted the compassionate side of the profession and opened students’ eyes to diverse opportunities.

Professor Maria Martin’s commendable dedication to enriching students’ educational
experience and her collaborative efforts in bringing these outstanding speakers have ignited curiosity and ambition among students. Madison Park Technical Vocational
High School remains committed to fostering student aspirations and providing diverse
career exploration.
